It will die."

i like this alot, the atmosphere especially. it seems "shady" because of the teenager looking anxiously around and the man in the large jacket. i do think the photograph may be a bit too dark, but i don't know, it works. also, i like the composition except for how the 7eleven sign is cut off a little. it may sound like a minor detail, but i think if you had the entire sign in there and then eliminated some of the space at the bottom, the photo would be "held in" better (some bulgarian guy who was critiquing my work once kept using the phrase "hold in" in terms of composition and now it's stuck in my mind). but obviously since it's unlikely you'll be able to recreate this exact shot, it's still great the way it is.

I know what you mean about the darkness, I actually dodged the area around the people significantly but it didn't do much. in the end, i decided I liked it, cause the darkness of their faces makes them anonymous and yeah, shady. as for the composition, I see what you're saying, but I was actually really proud of the lines and geometry of the picture, including the signs, and I think less bottom space would destroy that. thanks for the input though.

iss coo. you definitely did achieve great perspective in this photo. how did you get that angle, by the way?

there's an el station right there, it's in the middle of the loop, so I was standing on the platform that overlooks the street
